I don't think so. I think this is standard Fermi paradox stuff. We don't see signs of aliens either in terms of visual changes or them "getting here". (Perhaps these aren't very far off, if aliens travel near the speed of light). So, basic hypothesis is, if there are aliens, they're probably too far away to see.
